The Community Services Department still has spaces available for its summer day camps and an eight-day overnight camping trip at Big Bear, officials said.
The overnight camp, for children 8 through 14 years old, will feature hiking, swimming, boating, archery, horseback riding, campfire sing-alongs, crafts and other special events, department supervisor Roxanne Kaufman said. The cost of $245 includes transportation, food, lodging and all activities from June 24 through July 1.
Day camps for children 5 through 12 will be held June 26 through Sept. 1 at West Grove Park, 12762 Main St.; and Village Green Park, at 5372 Cerulean Ave. The cost is $80 a week for the 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. sessions, with extended hours, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., available for an additional $10 a week.
The day camps will include weekly excursions to attractions such as Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm, Kaufman said.
A camp for children 3 through 5 years old will be from 9 a.m. to noon, July 4 through Sept. 1, at Edgar Park, 12781 Topaz St. The fee is $40 a week.
