In a victory for supporters of the Pasadena Blue Line, the California Transportation Commission has appropriated $40 million for right-of-way acquisition and construction.

Pasadena and Metropolitan Transportation Authority officials said the money will allow new construction contracts to be awarded on the project, which broke ground last year.
