Plenty of Toys and Books, for Sure, but the Kings’ Plane Is Already Sold

Jane M. Cody, ex-wife of former King majority owner Bruce McNall, is conducting a garage sale this weekend at her Studio City home in an attempt to raise money for her children’s education and support.
She says she also hopes to defray the cost of her legal defense in actions brought against her by the bankruptcy trustee of her former husband and his bank creditors.
Cody will be selling toys, books, games and furniture that her children--Katie, 12, and P.J., 10--have outgrown, as well as other miscellaneous items.
Cody said the children came up with the idea.
“It’s very entrepreneurial,” she said. “I’m very proud of them.”
The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 11700 Canton Place, Studio City.
