JUPITER, Fla. —
Thirty-two Haitians and Guyanese were caught trying to sneak into the United States, along with a Bahamian boat captain authorities suspect is part of a large illegal immigrant smuggling ring.
The 26 Haitians and six Guyanese were in good condition Monday, said Keith Roberts of the U.S. Border Patrol.
Authorities followed a motorboat to shore. The refugees were sent to a Florida detention enter and were being interviewed by the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
