At Rose Bowl, He Didn’t Have Ghost of a Chance
- Share via
In the first years after UCLA moved to the Rose Bowl, parking near the swim stadium was first come, first in. My group would arrive early, park near the benches, tailgate and enjoy the day. However, in recent years, no matter how early one arrived, the spots were “reserved” for our ghost fans (who never existed).
Several letters to the athletic director made no difference. Maybe it’s time to move. When one considers the horrible sound system, ancient scoreboard, no scores during games, terrible restrooms, etc., and now the insult of an extra $5 to park, Hollywood Park Football Field cannot come too soon.
