Beller and Liebowitz have assembled a wonderfully campy array of come-on ads from old comic books. The products are as familiar to Baby-Boom readers as the characters in the comics: ant farms, muscle-building courses, inflatable dinosaurs, the miniature monkey in the tea cup. Did anyone actually buy this stuff?
