Irvine’s Interplay Announces Appointments

* Chris Kilpatrick has been appointed president of Interplay Productions, an Irvine manufacturer and distributor of entertainment and educational software. Brian Fargo, who founded the company in 1983, continues as chief executive officer. Kilpatrick was previously vice president and general counsel. In addition, Steven Camps, the company’s chief financial officer, has been given the additional title of chief operating officer.

* John Haynie has been named a director of Pinnacle Micro Inc., an Irvine manufacturer of optical storage devices, increasing the size of its board to six members. Haynie is president and chief executive of Newport Digital Corp., a manufacturer of computer enhancement products.

* John C. Wallace has been elected a director of Alliance Imaging Inc. in Orange, a provider of services to hospitals and other health care providers. Wallace is a principal and founder of Alpha+ Capital Management, an investment portfolio adviser.

* Daniel Ketchum has been appointed vice president of investments for Paine-Webber in Mission Viejo. He had previously been an assistant vice president and financial consultant with Merrill Lynch in Santa Ana since 1988.

* Lloyd Brenner and Dick Macedo have been named executive directors at Kia Motors America in Irvine, the sales, marketing and distribution arm of Kia Motors Corp. in Seoul, South Korea. Brenner is executive director of sales and Macedo is executive director of marketing. Both joined the company two years ago.

* Mark Wilser has joined Garte Torre Global Capital Markets, an Irvine mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance firm, as senior vice president. For the past five years, he has provided merger and acquisition advisory services to owners of middle-market companies.

* Marc Roseman has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president of corporate sales at Quiksilver Inc., a Costa Mesa designer and distributor of sportswear for young men and boys. He joined the company since 1991 as sales manager. In 1993, he moved to New York to oversee the East Coast corporate headquarters.

* Shirley Barnes has been appointed vice president of human resources at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo. She previously held a similar position at Corona Regional Medical Center.

* William Shubin has joined Lincoln Property Co. in Irvine as a partner in charge of the new acquisition and development division. He had been senior vice president at Prentiss Properties Ltd. Inc. in Newport Beach.

* Leason F. Pomeroy III has been elected to the board of Marine National Bank in Irvine. Pomeroy is founder, senior principal and president of LPA, an architecture, planning and design firm.
