Diane Sawyer may think Culver City is in Los Angeles, but she would be wrong.

The people who live there know where Culver City is, know it’s the home of Sony Studios--and know it to be a friendly little town with a checkered past that has done a nifty job of sprucing up its tired old downtown.

The latest addition was dedicated last weekend, a few days after the TV journalist misidentified Sony Studios’ location in her highly publicized interview with Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Jackson.

It is a $29-million City Hall. An estimated 1,500 well-wishers showed up for the festivities, sipping lemonade and chowing down on munchies in the Spanish-style courtyard.
