Auto Battery Chargers Recalled: Several hundred thousand chargers are being recalled because of the possibility of electric shock, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said. A small percentage of the chargers, sold by Century Manufacturing of Minneapolis and Sears Roebuck & Co., may pose a hazard because of a fine strand of wire that may protrude from the power cord plug. The chargers were sold at Sears between January, 1992, and December, 1994. The model numbers (934.716140, 934.716150 and 934.716200) can be found on the front of the units. Consumers are advised to discontinue use of the chargers and bring them to a Sears service center for inspection. Call (800) 488-1222 to locate a service center or (800) 678-1984 for more information.
