LAPD Handled Standoff at Clinic With Aplomb
- Share via
I would like to compliment and express gratitude publicly to the Los Angeles Police Department, North Hollywood Division, for its work at a civil disturbance at a medical clinic on Sherman Way in North Hollywood when Operation Rescue and the Clinic Defense Alliance were at a standoff in front of clinic doors.
The officers arrived at the scene immediately, assessed the potency of the climate and handled the overall potentially eruptive scene with professionalism, clear communication, organization and sensitivity. The police worked with both groups to ensure the protest remained peaceful.
This accomplishment is especially noteworthy considering the national trend of violence at these types of demonstrations. The Los Angeles Police Department’s approach to this rally is exemplary.
