GETTING ANSWERS : No Matter Where They Play, Raiders Send Wrong Message to the Street : The Raiders’ Reply
- Share via
The Raiders are one of the top teams in the NFL to be recognized for our support of every type of organization working with children and young adults.
We are always giving young people our message that we do not condone violence. We challenge them to play sports, stay in school, never use drugs, not to destroy public buildings by acts of vandalism and never to join gangs.
We also support the gang risk intervention project for elementary school children that helps them learn how to stay out of gangs; Los Angeles County’s Community Youth Gang Services, which help kids get out of gangs; the District Attorney’s office; Los Angeles Police Department’s CRASH (Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums) program; the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department program Substance Abuse Narcotics Education and the Four A (Acceptance, Affection, Attention, Approval) Foundation program. And youth agencies that request our assistance often attend our home games.
We will continue to support proven and innovative programs presented to us that support children.
