Implant Groups Announce Boycott: Support groups for silicone breast implant recipients launched a boycott of two companies in a bid to make them pay more into a shaky, $4.25-billion settlement of implant health claims. The boycott is aimed at Dow Corning Corp., once the largest maker of the implants, and one of its owners, Dow Chemical Co. The boycott comes as lawyers for thousands of implant recipients are trying to renegotiate the settlement. A prime target of the boycott is Dow Brands, the consumer products division of Dow Chemical.
