The Caribbean Gemological Institute has published its 1995 edition of “Caribbean Jewelry and Gemstones,” a guide to buying gold, pearls, gems and watches in the Caribbean and Bahamian islands, where cruise ships unleash thousands of shoppers each year. The 48-page booklet also includes a list of jewelers approved by the institute. The publication is available for $3 (to cover shipping and handling) from the institute, 1100 6th Ave. South, Suite 30, Naples, FL 33940; tel. (800) 248-0104.
