Gillette to Make Toothbrushes in Joint Venture: The Boston-based global consumer products company said its Vietnam joint venture received a license to manufacture and sell toothbrushes and toothpaste. Gillette Co. said its Oral-B Laboratories subsidiary and its partner, Saigon Co-op, will build a toothbrush manufacturing plant in Song Be province north of Ho Chi Minh City, the capital. Production is to begin early next year. Oral-B Labs is based in Redwood City, Calif.
