Officials with the Santa Ana Unified School District will unveil a detailed seven-foot model of the planned “Space Saver School” at the Board of Education’s regular meeting tonight.

“It’s unbelievably detailed. It really shows people what the school is going to look like,” said Mike Vail, senior director of school facilities.

The board will also consider design approval for the intermediate school. The $41.5-million project is to be built at the rear of the Bristol Marketplace at 17th and Bristol Streets.

Plans call for a 100,000-square-foot building, including a 5,600-square-foot media center and a 9,300-square-foot multipurpose room, Vail said.
