County coroner’s officials Tuesday identified a 42-year-old homeless man who was struck and killed by a train Monday as David Kozdrey.

Kozdrey, a transient who apparently lived near Coyote Creek beneath the railroad tracks where he was struck, either jumped or fell in front of the freight train as it traveled west near Holder Street and Ball Road, police said.
