Printronix Inc.: The Irvine manufacturer of computer printers reported profit of $2.7 million, or 48 cents a share, for the first quarter, up 93% from $1.4 million, or 28 cents a share, in the first quarter last year. Sales for the quarter ended June 30 increased 26% to $42.2 million from $33.5 million.
