Ventura County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Reseda man who is suspected of being a major drug supplier for the Thousand Oaks area.

Isaac Schlomo, 42, was arrested at 7 p.m. Tuesday at a Tarzana storage locker with more than 60 pounds of marijuana smuggled from Mexico, a small amount of cocaine and possession of a stolen, fully loaded .45 magnum automatic pistol, Sheriff’s Deputy Gary Pentis said.

If convicted, Schlomo, an Israeli citizen, faces up to 10 years in prison and deportation following the jail time, Pentis said.

Schlomo was arrested in April in Topanga Canyon on suspicion of possession of 14 ounces of cocaine and was free on bail awaiting trial. Police suspected he was continuing to deal narcotics and kept him under surveillance for several weeks, Pentis said.

It was not unusual for Ventura County deputies to pursue drug dealers outside their jurisdiction, Pentis said.

“If someone is moving dope into Thousand Oaks, then we go after them,” Pentis said. “We don’t stop at the county line.”

Schlomo, charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine, is being held at the Van Nuys jail awaiting trial. His bail was set at $50,000.
