Albert Milo

Director of Fullerton Public Library

Albert Milo, director of the Fullerton Public Library, has been chosen Librarian of the Year by REFORMA, a national association dedicated to promoting library use among speakers of Spanish.

Milo, 43, said his mission is to make sure that the library provides the same learning and information-gathering opportunities to all patrons and to educate the public about its services and special programs.

“I believe in equal access to the library, and that includes all segments of the community,” said Milo, who has been the library’s director since 1990. “When people have access to information, that translates to power, whether it’s political or taking control of your own life.”
