OXNARD : Authorities Search for Bank Robber
Authorities were searching for a man Friday who allegedly walked away Thursday with an undisclosed amount of cash from a Bank of America in Oxnard.
According to police, a Latino male in his early 20s entered the bank at 1855 N. Oxnard Blvd. about 3:15 p.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding money.
The suspect was given the money and then fled the area on foot, police said.
About the same time the Oxnard bank was being held up, the Bank of America branch in downtown Ventura was also being robbed. But FBI Agent Larry Dick said the two robberies appear unrelated.
