* Re “Congress Passes Landmark GOP Plan to Balance Budget,” June 30:
The budget vote showed us our Congress, craven and cowardly. It proves that there is no such thing as a moderate Republican, as all Republicans vote as a bloc; even for programs they don’t believe in, even programs they know are mean-spirited and wrong, even for programs forced on America by the radical right.
