Market Day, Viking Style
Denmark’s Mosegaard Prehistoric Museum, which houses archeological collections from the Stone Age to Viking days, is the site of next weekend’s Viking Market, a re-enactment of the return of Viking ships after summer raiding and trading expeditions. The free event takes place in the forest south of Arhus, Denmark’s second largest city on the Jutland Peninsula. Activities include traditional crafts displays, horsemanship, archery demonstrations and rides aboard a Viking ship.
