R.N. Hankin, H. Michael Hecht and Mitchell G. Lynn have been named to the board of directors of Sherman Oaks-based House of Fabrics.
The fabric retailer, which filed for bankruptcy protection last year, also announced that William W. Pennell, 65, resigned from the board for health reasons. As a result of the changes, the board has seven members.
Hankin, 48, a faculty member at UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management, is also the founder and chief executive of Hankin & Co., a Santa Monica-based management consulting firm.
Hecht, 55, retired after serving as the president and chief executive officer of Builder’s Emporium, a onetime hardware and home improvement company.
Lynn, 46, is president and chief executive officer of Combined Resources International, a wood products manufacturer.
