Obituaries : * Helen (Jo) Taladay; Cleaning Business Co-Owner
Helen (Jo) Taladay, a Santa Paula resident and co-owner of Taladay Cleaners, died Sunday after a long illness. She was 74.
Taladay, who was born Jan. 10, 1921, in Missouri, had lived in Ventura County for 56 years. Along with her husband, Sam Taladay, she owned and operated the cleaning business in Santa Paula for 25 years.
She also was an avid bingo player and seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Carl Frazier, and a sister, Geneva Roberts.
She is survived by two sons, John Alan Taladay of Ventura and Roy Taladay of Lake Tahoe; a sister, Nadine Donner of Oxnard; a brother, Donald Frazier of Twin Falls, Ida., and six grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Santa Paula Cemetery in Santa Paula. The Rev. James Rothe of St. Sebastian Catholic Church will officiate.
Arrangements are being handled by Stetler Mortuary, Santa Paula.
