Corn, Wheat, Soy Crops Rebound: The U.S. crops are recovering from bad spring weather, easing fears of high prices and a crimp in exports, the Agriculture Department said in its first estimate of the fall harvest. In a pair of eagerly awaited reports, the department forecast 8.12 billion bushels of corn, 2.25 billion bushels of soybeans and 2.23 billion bushels of wheat. All three were larger than expected, but the corn and soybean forecasts are far below last year’s record output. Even so, the department raised its estimate of corn exports to 2 billion bushels, a 125-million-bushel increase from July.
