Massachusetts-based Duracraft has introduced an innovative portable ceiling fan that cools a room like a traditional ceiling fan, but requires no installation and can be moved easily from room to room.

The oscillating fan attaches to adjustable poles, which fit ceiling heights from 7 feet, 6 inches to nine feet. The poles and exterior of the three-speed fan are constructed of steel, fan blades of sturdy plastic. The fan head also can be adjusted and tilted to change the direction of the air flow.

Staying Power: According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, each year about 4,000 babies are injured in the United States in falls from changing tables or dressers. But now even the squirmiest baby can stay put while a clean diaper goes on, thanks to the EZ-Change changing pad from Basic Comfort Inc. The portable pad has a V-shaped indentation and an adjustable elastic safety strap to keep baby in place.
