Lucero Wins Scratch Main

COSTA MESA — Steve Lucero of Riverside won the four-lap scratch main event of the weekly speedway motorcycle racing program in front of 5,513 Friday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano was second, Rob Pfetzing of Tustin was third and Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa finished fourth.

Andy Northrup of Ontario won the handicap eight-lap main event and Lance King of Huntington Beach was second. Pfetzing was third, Lucero fourth and Oxley fifth.
