In the article on the making of “A Walk in the Clouds” (“Wine With Your Chocolate,” by Blaise Simpson, Aug. 6), Alfonso Arau refers to a book important to the development of the magic realism movement in Latin American literature as “Pedro Carmo.” Juan Rulfo’s book is “Pedro Paramo,” as Arau undoubtedly knows and as the writer should have. It is probably the best-known novel in Mexican literature.

Suede didn’t win Great Britain’s Mercury Music Prize in 1992, as reported last Sunday in Pop Eye. Primal Scream’s “Screamadelica” won that year. Suede’s debut album won in 1993.
