Hazel R. Clemore; County Resident for 71 Years

Longtime Ventura County resident Hazel R. Clemore died at her Ventura home Friday. She was 80.

Born on Oct. 14, 1914, in Coleville, Utah, Mrs. Clemore left her home state to come to Ventura County 71 years ago. She had been a homemaker and a member of the Emblem Club.

Granddaughter Brandy Clemore of Ventura said her grandmother was well-loved.

“She had a lot of character,” she said.

Mrs. Clemore is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Sabrina Clemore of Ventura, grandchildren Brandy and David Clemore, also of Ventura; brother Floyd Rees of Palm Springs, and nieces and nephews.

Memorial services are planned at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home, 757 E. Main St., Ventura. A private burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
