Authorities Seeking Man Suspected of Molesting Girl : Crime: The incident occurred in restroom of Laguna Niguel Super Crown while her mother was browsing nearby.
Sheriff’s officials Monday were searching for a man suspected of molesting a 6-year-old girl in the bathroom of a Super Crown bookstore last Wednesday as her mother browsed in a nearby aisle.
The man lured the little girl to the restroom from the children’s book section using a book that she wanted to see, said Sheriff’s Lt. Ron Wilkerson.
The incident occurred about 5:15 p.m., officials said.
The man is described as white, 18 to 25 years old, and 5 feet, 10 inches to six feet tall. He has short, blond hair and blue or green eyes. At the time of the incident he was wearing a green ball cap, green T-shirt and baggy jeans or jeans shorts, according to authorities.
After the incident, the man left the store. The girl told her mother what had happened within minutes of the incident, said Sheriff’s Lt. Jay Mendez.
Mendez said the girl’s mother was browsing in a different part of the store as her daughter looked through the children’s section.
“That’s very brazen behavior,” Mendez said of the suspect.
