Lakota Brave, racing for the first time in 11 months, won the $60,000 feature at Del Mar Friday by 2 3/4 lengths over Nasr Allah.
Ridden by Alex Solis, Lakota Brave covered six furlongs in 1:08 and returned $7.40, $4.60 and $3.40.
Three longshots finished in the money in the fifth race to trigger a record $19,802.60 trifecta payoff.
Mr. Hocus Pocus, who went off at 13-1, won the 5 1/2-furlong claiming race by a neck over 10-1 shot Enniskerry, with 95-1 shot Staples Way finishing third.
The previous record for a $2 trifecta was set at Del Mar on Aug. 19 in the seventh race when the three-horse bet paid $12,142.20.
