Tomorrow night, the thin crescent moon lies between the red planet, Mars, and Spica, the brightest star in Virgo, the Maiden. Begin looking about 7:30 p.m., when they will be low in the southwestern sky. Tonight, you may be able to see Mercury. Draw a line from Mars to the moon and continue to lower right. Look between 7:30-7:45 p.m. Use binoculars for best results.
