TUSTIN : Applicants Sought for City Clerk’s Post
The city is accepting applications to fill the remaining term of City Clerk Mary E. Wynn, who resigned recently. The City Council will interview candidates Sept. 5.
Wynn, the city clerk since 1980, had about eight months remaining in her term when she resigned Aug. 9 for personal reasons.
Applicants must be registered voters and Tustin residents, city officials said.
The next election for city clerk is scheduled for March. In recent meetings, city officials have discussed placing an item on the ballot then to call for eliminating elections for city clerk. The job would be filled by appointment instead.
