WESTMINSTER — Former owners of a gift store pleaded guilty Monday to failing to report more than $300,000 in income to the Internal Revenue Service, authorities said.
Irving and Lesa Schwartz, 66 and 53, were co-owners of Anne-Jo Giftware in Garden Grove and lived in Westminster when they failed to report that income on their 1989 federal income tax return, according to Nora M. Manella of the U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles.
The pair face a maximum sentence of three years in prison and a $250,000 fine in addition to taxes, interest and penalties owed, according to IRS officials.
