Westside : COP CHARGED
A 10-year veteran of the Beverly Hills Police Department will be arraigned next week on charges of sexually molesting two teen-age boys, the district attorney’s office said Tuesday.
David R. Beckstro, 32, was arrested Aug. 18 in Hollywood and charged with oral copulation with a 16-year-old boy and two counts of committing lewd acts with a 15-year-old boy, said Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the district attorney’s office.
Beckstrom resigned from the Beverly Hills police force last Wednesday, police said.
He is free on $50,000 bail and scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, Gibbons said. Beckstrom faces up to four years, four months in state prison.
