COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : Still No Signal on Quarterbacks
USC wrapped up two-a-day drills with still no quarterback starter named for the San Jose State opener Sept. 9.
Brad Otton and Kyle Wachholtz again seemed evenly matched as they threw goal-line passes.
“Both quarterbacks will play against San Jose State and probably Houston too,” Coach John Robinson said. “I’ll make a decision on a starter when one is warranted, when I think one is decisively better than the other.”
The standout of the afternoon session was junior cornerback Quincy Harrison, who made an acrobatic interception of a pass intended for Keyshawn Johnson, then intercepted again 10 minutes later at the five-yard line. He batted down another pass intended for Johnson in the end zone.

Running back Shawn Walters and safety Sammy Knight, who suffered foot and ankle injuries, respectively, Monday, were pronounced OK Tuesday. The Trojans have had a relatively injury-free camp.
