Studio City : City Acts to Ease Parking Problems
The city of Los Angeles on Friday made available 60 spaces in Studio City for monthly permit parking, spelling some relief for Ventura Boulevard businesses feeling a severe shortage of employee parking.
The parking lot is located near the intersection of Ventura and Laurel Canyon boulevards at 12229 1/2 Ventura Blvd. The spaces are being offered temporarily while the city is designing and doing site preparation work on a permanent lot.
The lot is intended to provide temporary parking for employees of businesses along Ventura Boulevard, workers who were discouraged from parking on nearby neighborhood streets with the institution of residential permit parking.
Employees may purchase permits for $25 a month at the Studio City Chamber of Commerce office, 12153 Ventura Blvd., Suite 100.
