Need a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread or the makings of a gourmet meal? If you live in the Pico neighborhood of Santa Monica, soon you won’t have to drive across town to shop.

Developers of the Water Garden had sued to block the project, claiming that the proposed supermarket violates state environmental laws because the developer did not conduct appropriate environmental reviews.
