OXNARD : Celebration Planned on Mexican Culture
A carnival, the aroma of Mexican cuisine from several regions and the sounds of live music will transform an Oxnard park into a tiny Mexican village on Sept. 16 and 17.
The occasion? The Las Fiestas Patrias Festival or Mexican Independence Day Festival at College Park.
The festival will feature about a dozen food booths as well as music and other entertainment on two stages.
Event organizers said the event will be one of the largest celebrations of Latino culture in the tri-county area.
For more information on the festival or on reserving a booth, call (805) 486-0266.
