San Gabriel Valley : RACE FOR THE RACE
Another La Canada Flintridge resident has joined the race for Republican Assemblyman Bill Hoge’s 44th District seat.
La Canada school board Trustee Warren Jacob says he will join Councilman Jim Edwards in the Republican primary.
Hoge, whose district stretches from Sunland to Temple City, is reportedly planning to make a bid for state Sen. Newton Russell’s seat. Russell is being forced to step down because of term limits.
Jacob, an attorney, said he will continue Hoge’s conservative Republican legacy, supporting immigration reform, restrictions on abortion and eradication of the state income tax.
