Lyons to Chairman at Avco Financial

* Warren R. Lyons has been appointed chairman of Avco Financial Services Inc. in Irvine, a subsidiary of Textron Inc. He was previously president. Stephen J. Davis has been named vice chairman of Avco Financial Services. He was formerly president of Textron Financial Corp. in Providence, R.I.

* Barbara Fulmer has joined Toshiba America Information Systems Inc.’s Electronic Imaging division in Irvine as national training manager. She was previously a senior trainer for FHP Health Care, and before that founded the Resource Group, a training and development company.

* Thomas W. Hayes, former California director of finance and state treasurer, has been named to the board of directors of Nelson Communications Group in Irvine. Hayes is now president of Metropolitan West Securities, a broker-dealer, asset management and investment advisory firm.

* John Crean has been elected president of the board of directors for the Orange County Fair and Exposition Center in Costa Mesa. He will serve a one-year term. Crean is the founder of Fleetwood Enterprises. In addition, Jim Lindberg will serve as vice president. He is a real estate agent for Balboa Island Realty.

* Patricia Spiro has joined Paine & Associates, a Costa Mesa public relations agency, as controller. Previously, she was manager of the accounting division for Coldwell Banker in Mission Viejo. Spiro was also with Southeast Bank in Florida for three years.

* Kenneth J. Bourguignon has been named to the board of directors of Liberty National Bank in Huntington Beach. He is president of Dotken Engineering Inc. in Huntington Beach.
