MarkAir to Offer Refunds: Financially troubled MarkAir will offer refunds on some normally non-refundable tickets, the Transportation Department announced. The airline, which entered bankruptcy protection on April 14, agreed to the department’s request that it offer the refunds, which will be available to people who purchased tickets between April 14 and Aug. 1 for trips on or after Aug. 4, the department said. Ticket-holders who want refunds must request them by Sept. 19. They can make the request through their travel agent or by contacting MarkAir at 12015 E. 46th Ave., Denver, CO 80239. The right to a refund does not apply to people who obtained MarkAir tickets in exchange for dividend vouchers after the bankruptcy filing or in exchange for airline securities.
