BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : ANGELS : Davis Likely to Miss Just a Few Games
- Share via
Another day, another medical report. Wednesday’s patient, designated hitter Chili Davis. Prognosis: Pretty good. Davis strained his right hamstring Tuesday night and reported tightness in the leg Wednesday, adding that he expects to miss only a few games.
Davis missed 24 games from mid-June to mid-July, but the Angels, with Greg Myers handling most of the DH duties, went 14-10 in his absence. Mike Aldrete started in Davis’ place Wednesday night. “They did better without me the first time, so we’ll see how this goes,” Davis said.

Pitcher Brian Anderson, pulled from the rotation last week after seven consecutive ineffective starts, is having a little trouble adjusting to life in the bullpen.
“It stinks, it’s boring out there,” said Anderson, who is 6-8 with a 6.15 ERA. “And it’s hard trying to get used to all the [relievers’] quirks.
“I’m just trying to fit in and not upset the balance.”
