COMPANY TOWN : Griffin Entertainment Appoints Senior VP

Merv Griffin has appointed producer Ernest Chambers to senior vice president of Griffin Entertainment, a division of Griffin Gaming & Entertainment. Chambers will head up production for the new division.
* Jeffrey S. Smith has been promoted to vice president, national media, Fox Broadcasting Co.
* A&M; Records has appointed Diana Baron its senior vice president of publicity.
* John McMahon has been named senior vice president, sales planning, at Columbia TriStar International Television.
* The Outdoor Channel has appointed Andrew J. Dale as senior vice president, operations.
* Bruce Resnikoff has been promoted to executive vice president and general manager, special markets and products, MCA Music Entertainment Group.
* Elizabeth Cantillon has been named executive vice president of Turner Pictures’ feature animation division.
* Williams Television Time Inc., a direct-response television advertising agency, has opened a New York office, which will be headed by Mark Toner.
