Six people were arrested in Oxnard on suspicion of drunk driving Saturday night after Oxnard police set up a sobriety checkpoint on Channel Islands Boulevard between Victoria Avenue and Peninsula Road.
Police towed 10 vehicles belonging to impaired and unlicensed drivers.
In all, 1,104 vehicles went through the checkpoint, 18 sobriety tests were given and 23 drivers were cited for license violations.
