Woodland Hills : Job Training at Pierce to Assist the Needy
Pierce College has launched a free job training program for low-income men and women, including those on welfare and unemployment.
The programs are ongoing and offer training for people seeking work as nursing assistants, home health aides, animal caretakers and office administrators.
Training is financed by two grants, $184,000 from the city of Los Angeles and $40,000 from Los Angeles County.
Books and supplies will be provided, and job placement assistance is available for those who complete the programs. For information, call (818) 719-6453.
