Let’s Not Forget That Two People Were Killed

Share

Iwas angered and annoyed by “O.J.: The Cruise” (Sept. 13). Not only is it morally wrong to make money off a double murder trial, it shows a complete lack of sympathy and empathy for the families of the victims, who everyone seems to forget are Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald L. Goldman.

Had any of the people who chose to go on the “O.J. Cruise” ever lost a family member to murder, I am convinced they would never take part in something so pathetic. My family was torn apart 12 years ago by the brutal murder of my uncle. Luckily, his murderer was found guilty and sentenced, but our family will never be the same again.

Even more appalling is that a person would buy a T-shirt that reads “Remember Nicole.” What buying into the “Trial of the Century” merchandise says is “Cash in on Nicole and Ron.”

How distasteful that a cruise would be devoted to a group of O.J. Simpson trial groupies. Even more unsettling is the full-page feature you decided to give it.

Does anyone remember that two people died? This is not a joke.

Haven’t the ghouls made enough money on these families’ tragedies?

Why give them any more publicity?
