Grenade Explodes Near Apartments
SEAL BEACH —
A hand grenade intended for military training exploded near an apartment complex Friday night, shattering windows and setting off car alarms, but causing no injuries, police said.
Police and county bomb squad investigators responding to emergency calls about 8 p.m. found evidence that someone had detonated a training grenade on the east side of an apartment complex in the 900 block of Ocean Avenue.
