Micro-Business Help: Loans of up to $5,000 for low-income small-business owners are available from the Coalition for Women’s Economic Development, a nonprofit agency that also provides five- and 10-week business training classes. Orientation sessions, a requirement for class enrollment, are scheduled Oct. 7, Nov. 4 and Dec. 2 in Los Angeles, the Crenshaw District and West Hollywood.
