Authorities asked for the public’s help Tuesday in tracking down three teen-age girls who had told family members they were going to Universal CityWalk last weekend but who have not been seen since.

Keisha Brown, 13, and Dezjole Washington and Loneesha Varnado, both 14, were last seen about 6 p.m. Sunday near the 3900 block of Lankershim Boulevard when their parents dropped them off to catch a shuttle to Universal Studios, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Bailey said. But witnesses said they took a round-trip journey on the shuttle, and were last seen back on Lankershim.

No foul play is suspected, Bailey said.

All three girls are African American with brown hair and brown eyes, Bailey said. Keisha has a small scar on the side of her face, is 5 foot 4, and wore blue jeans, a black top and white tennis shoes. Dezjole is 5 foot 8, and wore a beige jacket and white-and-blue tennis shoes. Varnado, who wears her hair in a bun, is thin, with red shorts and a white top.

Anyone with further information about the girls’ whereabouts is asked to call Detective Jim Campbell at (818) 622-9600.
